While the official training for Gilas is set to commence on Feb. 15, Cone and Brownlee wasted no time reuniting on the court during Ginebra’s practice session on Feb. 12. Brownlee, having been cleared to play for Gilas after a temporary suspension period, expressed his excitement about rejoining his national teammates.

Cone praised Brownlee’s invaluable contributions as a player and mentor, underscoring his positive influence on the team. Brownlee, in turn, eagerly anticipated working with his Gilas comrades, expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming challenges and opportunities.

As Gilas prepares for the Asia Cup qualifiers, they are slated to face Hong Kong on Feb. 22, followed by a home game against Chinese Taipei on Feb. 25.
