Ryan Sy’s outstanding performance throughout the past season earned him the prestigious title of Junior Karter of the Year at the Golden Wheel Awards Foundation. This accolade symbolizes Sy’s remarkable growth and accomplishments both on and off the track at a young age.

In the 2023 season, Sy achieved Junior Overall Championships in both the Rok GP Cup Philippines and the Rotax Max Challenge Philippines. His exceptional results secured him invitations to compete in prestigious international events such as the ROK Cup Superfinal in Lonato, Italy, and the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Bahrain. These competitions provided Sy with invaluable experience competing against some of the world’s top karting talents.

Additionally, Sy participated in the Asian Karting Open Championship (AKOC), where he achieved notable success with podium finishes during the season opener in Macau and the subsequent event at the Clark International Speedway Kart Track.

At just 14 years old, Sy looks forward to an even more promising 2024 campaign, with plans to announce his upcoming endeavors in the coming weeks. He is set to depart for France this month for a performance assessment at 321 Perform, a renowned center that has nurtured Formula 1 drivers like Esteban Ocon, Alex Albon, and Bianca Bustamante, the latest F1 Academy champion.

Reflecting on his achievements, Sy expressed his gratitude and excitement, stating, “After all the setbacks and hardships, I pushed through to win the Rok GP Cup Philippines and Rotax Max Challenge Philippines. Receiving the Junior Karter of the Year trophy at the Golden Wheel Awards makes it all worth the effort, and I feel ecstatic.”
