June Mar Fajardo, the standout player of San Miguel Beer, remains committed to participating in Game 6 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals despite dealing with a sore left calf. Fajardo sustained this injury during the Beermen’s recent loss to the Magnolia Hotshots in Game 4.

Despite the discomfort, Fajardo played through the pain in Game 5 and delivered an impressive double-double performance with 18 points and 15 rebounds, contributing significantly to San Miguel’s victory. Reflecting on his condition, Fajardo mentioned that although his calf remains sore, he appreciates the two-day rest period before the next game.

Although advised by his doctor to sit out Game 5, Fajardo opted to play in this crucial match. He humbly downplayed his individual performance, attributing their success to the collective efforts of his teammates, particularly highlighting Jericho Cruz and Simon Enciso.

Looking ahead, Fajardo expressed hope that his team will continue to perform at a high level in the upcoming game, emphasizing the importance of maintaining their collaborative effort for success.
