Kyle Lowry has returned to Philadelphia and reunited with coach Nick Nurse. The veteran point guard signed with the 76ers on Tuesday after clearing waivers following a buyout of his contract, which occurred after he was traded from Miami to Charlotte.

Originally from North Philadelphia and a college standout at Villanova, Lowry brings a wealth of experience to the Sixers. Over his 18-year career, he has played for several teams including Memphis, Houston, Toronto, and Miami.

Lowry notably won an NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019 under the coaching of Nurse. Now, he joins Nurse, who is in his first season coaching the 76ers, in Philadelphia.

Throughout his career, Lowry has been a six-time NBA All-Star and has averaged 14.4 points per game. He currently ranks in the top 10 among active players in various statistical categories including assists, steals, 3-pointers made, and triple-doubles.
