Nelly Korda clinched victory at the LPGA Seri Pak Championship by sinking a birdie putt in a playoff against Ryann O’Toole. This win marks her return to World No. 1, securing her second consecutive title after triumphing at the Drive On Championship seven weeks prior.

Despite not playing since her last victory, Korda navigated through challenging windy conditions at the Palos Verdes Golf Club to secure her 10th LPGA title. She initially led by three strokes after an eagle on the 14th hole but ended with back-to-back bogeys, ultimately finishing tied with O’Toole at nine-under par.

The unpredictable gusts during the final round made play difficult for all competitors. Australian Gabriela Ruffels and American Alison Lee briefly held the lead but ended up tied for second place. Shin Ji-yai of South Korea, a former World No. 1, finished alongside them.

Reflecting on her performance, Korda admitted to feeling nervous after her eagle, leading to some mistakes down the stretch. O’Toole, on the other hand, expressed pride in her performance and enjoyed her first-ever playoff experience.

Ultimately, Korda’s clutch birdie putt secured her victory, reaffirming her status as one of the top players in women’s golf.
