Kai Sotto career milestone by scoring a remarkable 26 points in B League

Kai Sotto delivered a stellar performance, notching a career-high 26 points to propel the Yokohama B-Corsairs to a thrilling 90-85 overtime victory against the Chiba Jets in the Japan B.League clash at the Funabashi Arena on Sunday, February 11.

Displaying impressive efficiency, Sotto shot an impressive 9-of-13 from the field while also securing a season-best 11 rebounds, marking his second consecutive double-double performance.

In their previous encounter against the same opponent, Sotto recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds, although it came in a 79-89 loss on the road.

Sotto’s dominance on the boards extended to his third consecutive game, with the towering 7-foot-3 cager notching double-digit rebounds. His streak commenced against Shibuya, where he grabbed 10 rebounds alongside five points.

During the overtime period against Chiba, Sotto contributed six crucial points, including two free throws that sealed the victory for the home team with just 14.9 seconds remaining.

Jarrod Uthoff provided valuable support with 17 points and eight rebounds, complementing Sotto’s stellar performance, while John Mooney led the Jets with 25 points and nine rebounds.

With the win, Sotto and the B-Corsairs improved their record to 17-22, securing the 17th spot in the team standings.
