DLS-CSB dominated the NCAA Season 97 lawn tennis tournament

College of St. Benilde (CSB) secured a remarkable sweep of the men’s and women’s titles in the NCAA Season 99 lawn tennis tournament held at the PCA courts in Plaza Dilao, Paco, Manila. The Blazing Netters triumphed over the Mapua Cardinals, 2-1, in the men’s division, while the Lady Blazers defeated the University of Perpetual Help, 2-1, in the women’s division. CSB’s fifth men’s championship was highlighted by Francis Lera and Gian Macaraeg’s doubles victory and Reyniel Marcellana’s decisive singles win. Mapua’s sole victory came from Laurenz Quitara in the opening singles match. Meanwhile, Dorelle Lagura and Kiana de Jesus secured the women’s title for CSB with a tough doubles win, while Valeri Desoyo clinched the victory with another singles win.
