President Marcos has recently signed several laws, including those renaming circumferential and bypass roads, a bridge, and a national highway in various parts of the country.

Among the laws signed is Republic Act 11987, which renames the Bohol Island Circumferential Road to the President Carlos P. Garcia Circumferential Road, and Republic Act 11988, which changes the name of the Urdaneta City Bypass Road to Ambassador Eduardo “Danding” M. Cojuangco Jr. Avenue.

Additionally, Republic Act 11989 renames the Tambacan Bridge in Iligan City to Mariano Lluch Badelles Sr. Bridge, while Republic Act 11990 names the national highway in Camarines Sur as Speaker Arnulfo “Noli” Fuentebella Highway.

These new laws, signed on March 21, will take effect 15 days after their publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.

In addition to the renaming laws, President Marcos also signed Republic Act 11986, which establishes a new barangay in Barobo town, Surigao del Sur, and Republic Act 11991, which re-numbers district engineering offices in Cebu.

Furthermore, Republic Act 11992 repeals Republic Acts 9043 and 9218 and establishes a new district engineering office in Sogod, Second District of Southern Leyte, to be known as the Southern Leyte Second District Engineering Office. This new office will serve several municipalities in the area.
