PUP Parañaque is on its way to becoming a regular campus
The conversion of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Parañaque City into a regular campus, now known as PUP-Parañaque City Campus, marks a significant milestone in the development of education in the area. With the signing of Republic Act No. 11979 by President Marcos, the campus is poised to offer a wider range of educational opportunities, including short-term, technical-vocational, undergraduate, and graduate courses.
Additionally, the new law empowers the PUP-Parañaque City Campus to engage in research, extension services, and production activities aimed at supporting socioeconomic development. This underscores the campus’s commitment to providing progressive leadership in these areas and contributing to the overall growth and prosperity of the community.
In addition to the conversion of PUP-Parañaque City Campus, President Marcos also signed three other bills aimed at enhancing access to quality education for Filipinos. These initiatives reflect the government’s dedication to expanding educational opportunities and improving the educational landscape across the country.
