Meta has confirmed that it is investigating the widespread outages affecting its Facebook, Instagram, and Threads platforms. Users around the world have reported being locked out of their accounts.

In a statement posted on X, Meta spokesperson Andy Stone acknowledged the issues and stated that the company is actively working to resolve them. The outage seems to be impacting various Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Messenger, with users experiencing login difficulties.

Reports from internet traffic observer Down Detector indicate significant outages across multiple Meta platforms, suggesting a global impact. Additionally, London-based internet monitoring firm Netblocks has confirmed outages related to login sessions across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads in multiple countries. However, there are currently no indications of country-level internet disruptions or filtering typically associated with government-imposed restrictions.

Meta’s acknowledgment of the issues and ongoing efforts to address them reflect the company’s commitment to resolving the outage and restoring access to its platforms for users worldwide.
