Kris Aquino, who celebrated her 53rd birthday on February 14, shared some distressing news with her supporters. She revealed that she has been diagnosed with a fifth autoimmune disease and is facing serious heart issues, with her heart being “so swollen” that she is at risk of cardiac arrest.

Aquino has been in the United States since June 2022 undergoing treatment for her autoimmune conditions. She recounted her previous diagnoses, including Autoimmune Thyroiditis and Chronic spontaneous urticaria in 2018, and churg strauss syndrome or EPGA in 2022. She also disclosed her fourth disease, diffuse scleroderma or Crest Syndrome.

Despite these health challenges, Aquino remains resilient, asserting, “I refuse to die… I am 53 now and I want to still be here when I am 63.” However, she acknowledged that her current condition is concerning, with doctors classifying it as an autoimmune mixed connective tissue disease due to various physical manifestations.

Aquino expressed concern about her heart, revealing that the muscles surrounding and protecting it are severely swollen, putting her at risk of a stroke at any time. She cited genetics as a factor, noting her family history of heart issues, including her grandfather’s massive heart attack and her father’s heart attack. She also mentioned that former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino 3rd needed angioplasty before his passing in 2021.

Looking ahead, Aquino emphasized the importance of prayers and support from her followers, particularly as she prepares to try a new biological medicine to save her heart. She considers each day a blessing and relies on her faith as she navigates this challenging journey.
