Philippine fashion icon Heart Evangelista is celebrating her 39th birthday today, which coincides with Valentine’s Day. Among the many gifts she received, one standout present came from her husband, Chiz Escudero: a new ring adorned with a magnificent diamond.

The Kapuso star shared glimpses of her “birthday salubong” on Balesin Island with her family and friends via her Instagram Stories. At the stroke of midnight, surrounded by loved ones, Evangelista was serenaded with the traditional birthday song.

On her Instagram Stories, the socialite shared a sweet moment with Escudero, locking lips with him and excitedly unboxing the new ring he had gifted her. The ring features a striking white diamond centerpiece, a token of their enduring love. Additionally, the couple has plans to renew their wedding vows on this special day.

Speaking during a press interview at a skincare event on February 12, Evangelista expressed the significance of renewing their vows at this juncture in their lives, emphasizing the deeper understanding of marriage she has gained over the years.

“As a married couple, it’s really meaningful for us to have this moment. And there are so many other things happening around me, so this is the perfect time for us,” Evangelista shared.

Reflecting on her journey, the actress revealed a newfound perspective on love, remarking, “I thought I knew what love was, but now I know what love should be. And so I feel like I’m getting married actually for the first time again.”

Recently, Evangelista also shared her desire to expand their family, despite experiencing miscarriages in the past. She expressed her readiness to embrace motherhood once again, believing that she is now better equipped to provide guidance and wisdom to her future child.

Evangelista and Escudero exchanged vows on Balesin Island in 2015. This year, they will commemorate their ninth wedding anniversary on Thursday, February 15.
