With only four days remaining before Ed Sheeran’s highly-anticipated “+-= ÷x Tour,” also known as the “Mathematics Tour,” arrives in Manila on Saturday, fans without tickets still have a chance to experience the music icon’s epic concert.
Mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has announced the launch of its exclusive ticket redemption promo, making it easier for Filipino Sheerios (the collective nickname of Ed Sheeran fans) to gain access to the SMDC Festival Grounds on March 9.
Ed Sheeran, who has been thrilling audiences on his tour since April 2022, is expected to perform a mix of songs from his latest album and his classic hits, including “Tides,” “I’m A Mess,” “Shivers,” “The A Team,” “Castle On The Hill,” “Perfect,” “Lego House,” “Shape Of You,” and “Thinking Out Loud,” among others.
As an added bonus for fans, viral British singer Callum Scott and hit Filipino band Ben&Ben are set to open for the Grammy-winning artist. To redeem concert tickets, Smart Prepaid and Smart Postpaid subscribers can exchange their points via the Smart App, available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Different categories of tickets require specific numbers of points for redemption. Subscribers can also earn more points by participating in top-up promos. The higher the accumulated points, the better the chance of redeeming tickets in higher categories.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to availing the exclusive ticket promo: Download the Smart App, sign-up or log-in to your account, tap on “Rewards,” then “Redeem Awards,” and select the “Ed Sheeran’ Mathematics Tour 2024′ in Manila” ticket you wish to redeem. Confirm the redemption by clicking the “Redeem” button on the pop-up screen, and expect a notification and text message confirming successful redemption, along with instructions on ticket claiming.
The Manila leg marks the 60th stop for “Mathematics” and the 10th stop for Sheeran in 2024. Known for his captivating live performances, Sheeran is expected to enhance the visual spectacle with larger-than-life LED setups and stunning firework displays synchronized with each song.
In addition to the redemption promo, Smart assures subscribers of instant sharing capabilities on the network for posting photos, videos, reels, and stories while enjoying the show on Saturday.
