At this new Pan-Asian restaurant, you can live the high life with Wazuzhu Palm Jumeirah.

Wazuzhu, a swanky new restaurant on the Palm Jumeirah, has opened.

Wazuzhu is located in the opulent surroundings of the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray hotel on the west crescent of Palm Jumeirah.

Time Out was given an exclusive first look at this elegant new venue, which is set to open to the public on Sunday, March 20, the Wazuzhu Palm Jumeirah.

You’ll be greeted by numerous over-sized crystal chandeliers and perfectly polished marble as you enter this evening dining destination.

In honor of the restaurant’s name, a subtle dragon motif weaves its way throughout the décor. Wazuzhu means “nine dragons,” and the design is inspired by the strength and abundance associated with dragons in Asian culture.

There’s an area for everyone, whether you want to grab a quick drink at the bar under the flowing flower ceiling, be in the middle of the action in the main dining room, or sink into comfy couches for a relaxed yet refined vibe.

Wazuzhu’s glittering and opulent ambiance will delight guests with mood lighting, excellent music, mirrored walls, and marbled bars.

This Pan-Asian restaurant and lounge brings a taste of Asian high-life to Dubai. Guests can expect high-quality ingredients; dim sum dishes like dumplings, for example, are elevated with truffle and scallop for a ritzy dinner experience and will not open in Palm Jumeirah – the Wazuzhu Palm Jumeirah.

Diners can expect familiar flavors, delicately presented, as the restaurant blends elements of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisines.

House-made ponzu sauce, a citrus-infused soy sauce-based dressing, is drizzled over thin slices of seabass. To accompany the fresh sashimi slices of seabass, the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and sour.

Each dish aims to establish the Asian-founded fifth sense of ‘umami,’ which refers to the pleasant, moreish flavor profiles found in Asian dishes.

Is this a love letter to Asian cuisine? Signed, sealed, and handed over.
