On April 24, 2022, the fuel-saving smartphone application PriceLOCQ, developed by Seaoil in partnership with the fintech company LOCQ, continues to witness expansion as more Seaoil stations nationwide adopt it for their customers’ benefit.

Since its inception in 2020, PriceLOCQ has garnered a steady user base, with over 200,000 regular users. Presently, the app is operational at more than 260 Seaoil stations. Seaoil’s ambitious plan is to extend this accessibility to over 400 stations by the end of the year.

Mark Yu, President for Retail Operations and Chief Financial Officer for SeaOil, emphasized PriceLOCQ’s core objective of empowering customers to optimize fuel expenses, particularly pertinent amidst fluctuating fuel prices influenced by global market dynamics. Yu expressed determination to double the expansion and deployment of PriceLOCQ accepted by Seaoil stations in 2022, striving to cater to more drivers amid fuel price uncertainties.

Yu also highlighted the benefits of Price LOCQ for Business (PLB), offering businesses an efficient means to manage fuel expenditures. PLB functions as a comprehensive web portal, enabling businesses to procure fuel at current prices and hedge against potential price hikes. With PLB, fleet managers can purchase and store up to 10,000 liters of fuel virtually, accessible as a “fuel balance.” Moreover, PLB facilitates seamless SMS orders for fuel delivery to drivers nationwide, ensuring real-time and contactless transactions. Recipients can redeem the allocated fuel at any Price LOCQ-compatible Seaoil station by presenting the designated code.
