Foodpanda PH adopts a new company name

Online marketplace Foodpanda Philippines has announced that Delivery Hero Philippines Inc. would take over as the new company name going forward.
Daniel Marogy, managing director of Foodpanda Philippines, stated that the company is pleased with the name change because it symbolizes a brand that is recognized both internationally and locally.
According to Marogy, the change in our company name has allowed us to proudly promote both our parent company, which is based in Berlin, and our regional headquarters, which are located in Singapore. This is in addition to our employees throughout Asia, who will continue to fly the Foodpanda flag.
Delivery Hero, based in Berlin, made the acquisition of Foodpanda in 2016, just a few years before the international online meal delivery market experienced stratospheric growth due to increasing demand during the epidemic.
In 2019, Delivery Hero made a $4 billion investment to acquire a controlling ownership stake in Woowa, a food delivery company based in South Korea. It has been decided that Woowa will oversee all of Delivery Hero’s activities in Asia, including Foodpanda’s operations.
According to Marogy, the establishment of Delivery Hero Asia paves the way for a number of synergies and opportunities for collaboration between Woowa and other Foodpanda markets. This is in addition to the dynamic relationship that we already have with Berlin.
He pointed out that the company had already informed all of its partners about the rebranding of all of its billing, relevant marketing materials, and other related legal and commercial documents after February 2022, which is when the corporate name change to Delivery Hero Philippines Inc. became official. He said that the business had already informed all of its partners about the change.
Marogy claimed that they are “thrilled to continue working closely with our partner suppliers and delivery partners across our ecosystem” in order to continue offering consumers with the same high level of service and professionalism that they have been giving in the past.
With the beginning of this new chapter and new company name as Delivery Hero Philippines, we anticipate having a greater impact on the industry for online food delivery.
