The agreement to construct renewable energy generation facilities in the Filinvest Innovation Parks in New Clark City and Ciudad de Calamba was signed yesterday by the Filinvest-ENGIE Renewable Energy Enterprise Inc. (FREE) and Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI).

FREE is a joint venture that was established in 2018 by FDC Utilities Inc. (FDCUI), which is the power utility arm of Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC), and ENGIE Services Philippines with the purpose of deploying environmentally friendly solar solutions in the Philippines.
According to Juan Eugenio Roxas, president and chief executive officer of FREE, the initiative will help strengthen the developing sustainable and smart cities across the country.

‘Our industrial developments are master-planned to meet the needs of rapidly growing industries like logistics, e-commerce, and data centers,’ he explained. “Our industrial developments are located in areas that have excellent access to transportation and utilities.
