8 By The Street sells coffee egg drop sandwiches and corn dogs for less than P160

Tagaytay isn’t the only place in the south where you can spend your weekends! A Korean street cafe called 8 By The Street has just opened in Las Pinas City for all the foodies who can’t get enough of K-food.

Café Americano, Cappuccino, Spanish Latte, French Vanilla Latte, Hazelnut Latte, Salted Caramel Latte, White Chocolate Mocha, Cafe Mocha, Caramel Macchiato, and their current bestseller, the creamy Signature Keopi with caramel and vanilla foam on top, are among the espresso-based beverages on the menu.

Although it’s natural to try their coffee drinks, 8 By The Street’s non-coffee beverages look too good to pass up! You can choose from Korean Banana Milk (P98/grande), Korean Strawberry Milk (P98/grande), Yakult Lemonade (P78/grande), and Matcha Latte (P98/tall, P118/grande).

The egg drop sandwiches has six different type, each named after a famous city or district in South Korea. The Itaewon (P98) is the classic egg drop sandwiches, Hongdae (P118) uses ham, Busan (P128) has double the amount of bacon, Seoul (P138) has double the amount of SPAM, Myeongdeong (P148) uses chicken fillet, and Gangnam (P158) uses beef bulgogi.

Another popular item is the Korean-style corndogs, a snack made popular by the Korean drama Start-Up. The Classic Corndog (P88), Mozza Corndog (P98), and Potato Coated Corndog (P98) are available (P108). Do you want to keep things simple? K-fries are also available at 8 By The Street (P48).

What’s the significance of the number “8” in 8 By The Street? Aside from the obvious reason that 8 sounds like “eat,” 8 is a special number for the business’s owners, Marian Enriquez and Marco Del Rosario, as it is their anniversary.

In case you didn’t notice, all of the prices on the menu end with a “8,” which is considered a lucky number in Chinese.
