Blackwater continued its winning streak in the PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup, securing its third consecutive victory with a commanding 90-78 win over Converge at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Led by coach Jeff Cariaso, the Bossing demonstrated their dominance on the court, leaving no doubt about their capability to compete at the highest level.

The team’s strong performance was highlighted by Christian David’s breakout game, where he scored 16 points and earned his first Best Player of the Game accolade in the PBA. David’s stellar performance, along with contributions from Rey Suerte, RK Ilagan, and Richard Escoto, propelled Blackwater to a comfortable lead early in the game.

Despite a valiant effort from Converge’s Alec Stockton, Deschon Winston, and Justin Arana, Blackwater’s stifling defense limited their opponents to a second-lowest halftime score in franchise history. With a solid defensive effort and effective execution of their game plan, Blackwater showcased their determination to maintain their winning momentum.

Coach Cariaso emphasized the team’s focus on defense and their commitment to working hard, even as they enjoy their early success in the season. With their sights set on continued improvement, Blackwater aims to stay humble and focused as they navigate the challenges ahead in the PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup.
