Senator Christopher “Bong” Go recently visited Davao City to inspect various development projects funded through his initiatives as vice chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance. The day began with a visit to Crystal Meadows Subdivision in Barangay Sasa, where he inspected a multipurpose hall project. He then attended the turnover and blessing of another multipurpose hall in San Jose Village, a project done in collaboration with Barangay Captain Jerry Licarte and funded through his assistance.

In his statement, Senator Go emphasized that these multipurpose halls serve as symbols of unity, resilience, and progress in every community. By providing spaces for people to gather, learn, and grow together, they contribute to building stronger and more vibrant communities.

The day’s activities also included the turnover of a multipurpose vehicle and a mini dump truck in Crystal Meadows Subdivision, again in collaboration with Barangay Captain Licarte. Senator Go highlighted the importance of mobility and logistical support in enabling communities to respond effectively to emergencies and implement development projects.

In addition to these projects, Senator Go has also facilitated other initiatives in Davao City, such as the rehabilitation of water systems, drainage systems, and flood control structures in various barangays, the construction of a 300-bed capacity infectious diseases building for Southern Philippines Medical Center, and the acquisition of ambulances. Furthermore, 11 super health centers have been funded in the city to provide primary care, consultations, and early detection of health issues to communities.

During his visit, Senator Go also distributed snacks and food packs to indigent residents, and select beneficiaries received bicycles, shoes, a mobile phone, and a watch. This demonstrates his commitment to serving the needs of the people, particularly those in underserved communities.
