The agency representing Korean actor Lee Jae-wook has issued a stern warning against individuals spreading malicious rumors, following the confirmation of his relationship with Aespa member Karina.

Both CJes Studios, representing Lee Jae-wook, and SM Entertainment, managing Aespa, confirmed earlier this week that the two artists were in the initial stages of their relationship, urging respect for their privacy.

However, in light of damaging content circulating on the internet about Lee Jae-wook, CJes Studios released another statement addressing the issue. They expressed concern over offensive posts containing false information and slander against the actor, which they deemed as severe violations of his personality rights. The agency emphasized their intention to take decisive civil and criminal action through legal representation against those responsible.

CJes Studios also stated their continuous monitoring of online platforms and encouraged individuals to report any malicious cases to their email address for further consideration in legal proceedings.

The rumors in question, dubbed as “transit romance,” allege that Lee Jae-wook was previously in a relationship with another actress until December last year before entering a relationship with Karina.

Lee Jae-wook gained recognition through various television dramas such as “Memories of the Alhambra,” “Extraordinary You,” “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol,” “Search: WWW,” and “Alchemy of Souls.” Currently, he is appearing in “The Impossible Heir.”

On the other hand, Karina made her debut with the girl group Aespa in 2020, alongside members Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. The group has released several successful singles, including “Black Mamba,” “Next Level,” “Savage,” “Girls,” “Spicy,” and “Drama.”
