Blackpink’s Lisa to join the cast of the third installment of HBO original series

Thai rapper, singer, and dancer Lalisa Manobal, known as Lisa from the renowned South Korean girl group Blackpink, has joined the cast of the third installment of the Emmy-winning HBO Original series “The White Lotus.” Created by award-winning writer Mike White, the critically acclaimed dark comedy-drama has assembled a stellar ensemble cast for its new season, including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Julian Kostov, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood. Production for the new season commenced last February in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok.

“The White Lotus” follows the guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain, exploring how their interactions are influenced by their various psychosocial dysfunctions. While details about Manobal’s role in Season 3 remain scarce, fans eagerly anticipate seeing the artist’s renowned fashion sense and trendsetting style showcased in her acting debut.

The first season of “The White Lotus” premiered in July 2021 and received widespread acclaim, garnering 20 Emmy nominations across 13 categories and securing 10 wins, the most wins of any program that year, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. The second season, which premiered in December 2022, earned 23 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.
