It was a tough loss for Francis Alcantara and his partner Kaichi Uchida as they were defeated by Saketh Myneni and Ramkumar Ramanathan in the doubles semifinals of the Bengaluru Tennis Open in India. The match went to three sets, with the Indian pair ultimately prevailing with a score of 6-2, 2-6, 10-7.

Despite a strong start from Alcantara and Uchida, who managed to keep the score close early on in the first set, the Indian duo dominated the remainder of the set, securing a 6-2 win. The Filipino-Japanese pair fought back in the second set, winning it with a score of 6-2 to level the match.

In the decisive third set, Alcantara and Uchida initially took the lead with a 4-2 advantage. However, Myneni and Ramanathan mounted a comeback, eventually taking the lead at 7-6. Despite some efforts from the Filipino-Japanese pair to stay in the game, the Indian duo maintained their momentum and secured the win at 10-7, advancing to the finals.

While Alcantara and Uchida were unable to clinch victory in the semifinals, their performance throughout the tournament was commendable, and they showcased their competitive spirit on the court.
